 March 2, 2010 - Well we have all heard of March Madness. Just days before March 1 rolled around, ASU had Mascot night for their basketball fans. On Saturday night during the ASU Rambelles basketball game, a lot of the local mascots came together for some playful fun during the women’s game.
Casey the Colt was joined by local mascots from HEB, Central High School, the Stampede Express, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Angelo State and others. The spotlight though, was on the Dallas Mavericks mascot "Mavs Man". Mavs Man wowed the crowed with some great tricks and some serious throw down dunks. He took it to another level later in the evening during the Men’s game with some spectacular dunks and even had some serious audience participation for some of his tricks.
The Colts mascot held his own participating not only in the mascot basketball game, but a trampoline dunk and even went into the stands afterwards to meet and greet the ASU and Colts fans in the Junell Center. It was a fun night for all, and Casey was glad to participate. The Colts were glad to be part of the festivities their neighbor’s across the street held and will be happy to do it again. The Colts who will have their own mascot night at some point during the season, hopes all the mascots their will join for some continued fun.
